Get ready for a fun and meaningful challenge – Connor's Erg is coming to EPT Sydney! This amazing initiative is brought to life by the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation, supporting critical brain cancer research and care. Together, we can help change the odds for young people facing brain cancer, the #1 cancer killer of young Australians.
A message from Meaghan and Jan
Supporting pediatric brain cancer research is a cause close to our hearts. Our beautiful girl Maddie was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022, when she was 4 and a half years old. We witnessed first hand the toll of current treatments as she endured 14 months of weekly chemo sessions. We are blessed that she has recovered and is now thriving - many of you have seen her bouncing around the gym! However there are many others that are not as lucky as us, and directing funds towards cancer research is vital to ensure treatments are improved and more cures are discovered for these kids.
What is Connor's Erg?
It’s a 100km erg race that you can complete in a way that works best for you:
- Row
- Ski
- Bike (distance is doubled to 200km for bikes!)
Participate in a team of 2–6 people, with each member doing as much as they’re comfortable with, broken up as you like.
How to Join
1. Gather your crew of 2–6 people.
2. Register at this link under the EPT Sydney team: Join EPT Sydney A $50 donation per team member is recommended but not mandatory – all donations are tax-deductible!
3. Drop Jesse an email to lock in your team’s preferred machine.
4. Share your personal fundraising page with friends, family, and colleagues to support the cause and grow EPT’s total contribution.
Event Details
When is it? 8am on the 23rd of February
Where is it? EPT 12 Cleg St, Artarmon NSW 2064
Who can join? Everyone! You don’t have to be an EPT member.
Do I need to complete the full distance? Nope! Just row, bike, or ski as much as you can within 8 hours.
No buddies? Let us know and we can put you in a team!
